Fall Transit Summit

Orange County is updating the County’s transit plan. Join us for a virtual Transit Summit!

• Learn more about how you and/or those you serve currently use transit in Orange County.
• Understand the current needs (both met and unmet) and values of transit riders.
• Identify the county’s future transit needs.
• Define an updated set of goals guiding the transit plan update.

The first of two planned transit summits, this first event focuses on establishing a shared understanding of the transit planning process, plan funding, and community needs and values related to transit service in the county. A brief informative presentation will set the stage for an interactive transit planning activity and group discussions. The feedback gathered during the Transit Summit directly informs the development of various transit service scenarios (options) that are possible for Orange County. The second summit will focus on evaluating the pros, cons, differences, and similarities of the scenarios to arrive at a “balanced” vision for transit in Orange County.

This event is open to the public but is more specifically targeted to those of you working with clients/customers/communities who are reliant on transit. Given the current pandemic and quarantine limitations, we ask you – community leaders and providers of services – to be the connection and line of communication between staff, planners, and Orange County transit riders.  Your feedback is critical – especially during these challenging times!
